How Echo Architect was made

Echo Architect started from one rule: the player never fires anything. There is only one unbroken beam of light, and your job is to bend it. Every level is a small optics puzzle where mirrors turn the beam, prisms split it, and portals teleport it.

Under the hood, the beam is traced one segment at a time. Each time it meets a piece, the game works out where it goes next and draws the glowing path. Levels are plain data, so a new puzzle is just a new list of pieces and nodes.

The sound is generated live with the Web Audio API, which keeps the game tiny and instant to load on a phone.
